Police in Bardiya district on Wednesday afternoon arrested a man on charge of raping a 13-year-old minor girl from Beltadi in Madhuban Municipality-9.

The accused has been identified as Karna Bahadur Kami, a 57-year-old resident of the same municipality in Bardiya district.

Kami allegedly raped the minor in his residence. Acting on a tip-off, joint security personnel deployed from the Taratal-based Police Office and Bardiya-based District Police Office nabbed Kami.

Meanwhile, further investigation on this matter is underway, informed the police.
