KATHMANDU: Minister for Education and Sports Sasmit Pokharel has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to collaborating with private stakeholders to create a business-friendly environment and elevate the quality of education services.

Speaking during a consultative meeting with key stakeholders from the educational consultancy sector on Thursday, Minister Pokharel emphasized that private institutions are vital government partners in prioritizing student welfare.

Addressing concerns regarding the newly introduced Education Consultancy Regulation 2026, he urged consultancies to focus on providing responsible and transparent services while reassuring them that the government remains open to revising procedural requirements, such as security deposits and renewal fees.

Representatives from major consultative associations, including ECAN, expressed strong support for policy reforms aimed at curbing student fraud and establishing Nepal as a global education hub.
