KATHMANDU: An active monsoon triggered 52 disaster incidents across Nepal in a single day, leaving three people dead and 23 injured.
According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority, the casualties resulted from 15 landslides, 15 snakebite incidents, six lightning strikes, and multiple floods and wildfires.
The disasters affected 116 families, killed 36 livestock, and caused an estimated Rs 2.4 million in financial losses, prompting authorities to issue an urgent safety advisory for citizens to remain highly vigilant.
