KATHMANDU: Continuous rainfall, triggering floods and landslides, has severely disrupted vehicular movement across major highways in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.

According to the Nepal Police, the Mid-Hill Highway in Bhojpur and the East-West Highway in Morang are currently limited to one-way traffic, while a landslide at Syaule has completely blocked the Koshi Highway in Sankhuwasabha.

In Bagmati Province, the Khurkot–Nepalthok–Kathmandu road is closed due to imminent flood risks, and the Fakhel–Pharping route to Kathmandu remains completely shut for a month-long maintenance project.

Although the Beni–Jomsom road in Gandaki Province has reopened after a landslide cleanup, police urge travelers to verify road conditions before traveling and exercise high alertness in high-risk zones.
