KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Balendra Shah, acting in his capacity as the university Chancellor, has appointed new Vice-Chancellors to seven major universities across Nepal.
Under the new executive appointments, Bhola Thapa has been named the Vice-Chancellor of Tribhuvan University, while Kisan Datta Bhatta and Rajan Suwal have been appointed to lead Far-Western University and Mid-Western University, respectively.
Furthermore, Rishiram Kattel has been appointed to the Agriculture and Forestry University, Shyam Narayan Labh to Rajarshi Janak University, Devendra Adhikari to Pokhara University, and Sujan Babu Marahatta to Purbanchal University.
The appointments were finalized based on the formal recommendations submitted by the search and selection committee, which was coordinated by Minister for Education Sasmit Pokharel.
