Police in Parsa district arrested a man from Birgunj Metropolitan City-17 in possession of 100 ml of 88 pieces of Onex on Monday night.

The arrestee has been identified as Sesh Samsuddin (50), a resident of Birgunj Metropolitan-17.

Acting on a tip-off, security personnel deployed from the Sirsiya-based Police Office while searching Samsuddin’s residence found the substance.

Meanwhile, Banke police on Monday afternoon apprehended a man from Beuchapur in Narainapur Rural Municipality-2 in possession of 47 grams of heroin.

The arrestee has been identified as Naurangilal Sunar (55), a local resident of Narainapur Rural Municipality.

Joint security personnel deployed from the Nepalgunj-based Narcotics Control Bureau and Laxmanpur-based Police Office nabbed Sunar during a routine check and found the substance in his possession.

Further investigation into both cases is underway, said the police.
