KATHMANDU: An arrest warrant has been issued against Rajesh Man Singh, the Mayor of Birgunj Metropolitan City.

The Parsa District Court issued the arrest warrant against him on charges of document forgery.

Debraj Bhattarai, the Tahasildar of the district court, confirmed that permission had been granted to arrest Mayor Singh. According to him, this permission was granted back on May 22.

DSP Hari Bahadur Basnet of the District Police Office, Parsa, informed that the court granted permission to arrest Mayor Singh regarding a document forgery offense related to citizenship.
