KATHMANDU: The All Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFSU), the fraternal organization of CPN (UML), has staged a protest against the arrest of Party Chairman KP Oli.
Demanding the immediate release of Oli, who is also a former Prime Minister, ANNFSU demonstrated by burning tires at Bhrikutimandap.
Police arrested Oli and former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak on Saturday morning (today).
ANNFSU held the demonstration following instructions from the party’s secretariat meeting held this very Saturday.
Claiming the government made the arrests out of political vendetta, the CPN (UML) has decided to conduct powerful protest demonstrations.
