KATHMANDU: Sher Bahadur Deuba, the outgoing president of the Nepali Congress, has congratulated Balendra Shah (Balen), a senior leader of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, on being appointed as the prime minister.

Currently abroad, Deuba congratulated him on his appointment and also expressed best wishes to Balen for a successful tenure.

He also extended congratulations and best wishes for success to all the members of the Council of Ministers who were appointed on Friday.
