KATHMANDU: Dr Ojaswi Sherchan, a Member of Parliament from the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has been elected as the Chairperson of the Education, Health and Information Technology Committee under the House of Representatives.

The committee meeting held on Friday selected Sherchan as its chair. CPN (UML) lawmaker Guru Baral had also filed his candidacy for the position.
