Four bills on agenda as House of Representatives meets today

KATHMANDU: The House of Representatives will hold its 30th meeting of the second session today at 11:00 AM to debate and pass four major legislative amendments.

According to the Parliament Secretariat, the session will open with the Speaker reading an official communication on executive responsibilities from the Prime Minister’s office before moving to legislative business.

The agenda features clause-by-clause deliberations led by cabinet ministers.

On behalf of PM Balendra Shah, Law Minister Sobita Gautam will introduce the Public Procurement Amendment Bill, while Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle will table the Prevention of Money Laundering Amendment Bill.

Additionally, Cooperatives Minister Pratibha Rawal will present the Cooperative Amendment Bill, and Health Minister Nisha Mehta will table the Health Sciences Academy Amendment Bill.

Parliament General Secretary Padma Prasad Pandey confirmed all amendments will face a floor vote today before final passage.
