KATHMANDU: The meeting of the House of Representatives has commenced. The agenda for today’s meeting includes passing two bills dependent on the annual budget.
During the session, Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle will present motions requesting that the ‘Financial Bill, 2026’ and the ‘National Debt Collection Bill, 2026’ be passed. Prior to that, discussions will be held on the Financial Bill along with the amendments received.
According to the Federal Parliament Secretariat, Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal is scheduled to present the received amendments to these bills for a decision.
Additionally, on behalf of Prime Minister Balendra Shah, Minister for Science, Technology, and Innovation Mahabir Pun is scheduled to table the ’63rd Annual Report of the Auditor General, 2026′ and the ‘Public Procurement (Second Amendment) Bill, 2026’.
Furthermore, Finance Minister Dr. Wagle is scheduled to present the ‘Prevention of Money Laundering (Third Amendment) Bill, 2026’.
Pratibha Rawal, Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives, Federal Affairs, and General Administration, will table the ‘Cooperatives (First Amendment) Bill, 2026’, and Nisha Mehta, Minister for Health and Food Safety, will present the ‘Bill to Amend Some Nepal Acts Related to the Health Science Academies, 2026’.
At the start of the meeting, Speaker Aryal shared the contents of a letter received from the Office of the President regarding the authentication of a bill.
