KATHMANDU: Karuna Katuwal has been appointed as the President of the Nepal Student Union (NSU). Party President Gagan Kumar Thapa appointed her today in accordance with the party’s constitution.

Following the decision made during the Nepali Congress Central Working Performance Committee meeting on May 4, the NSU—which had been automatically dissolved after its term expired under the party constitution—saw Katuwal’s appointment to the top post.

President Katuwal has also been assigned her responsibilities alongside an 11-point mandate and job description to ensure the general convention is successfully conducted within the stipulated timeframe.
