KATHMANDU: The youth-led ‘Punarjagaran Abhiyan-2026′ (Renaissance Campaign) within the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist–Leninist) has released the results of a comprehensive public opinion survey, revealing an overwhelming demand for internal reform.
Collected via open Google Forms from party members, supporters, and independent citizens across Nepal and 14 countries, the data shows that 91.4% of respondents favor an overall party transformation, while 95.4% believe the current leadership’s behavior must improve.
Notably, 87.6% called for a complete change in leadership, 82.9% supported transitioning to a system where all organized members vote to select leadership, and 82.8% backed a strict two-term limit for both party and parliamentary positions.
The final survey report has been officially submitted to UML General Secretary Shankar Pokharel.
