KATHMANDU: The Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) has announced plans to unveil a detailed “Capital Market Development Roadmap” next week to protect investor interests and address growing anxieties over the continuously falling stock market.

According to SEBON spokesperson Niranjaya Ghimire, the regulatory body is actively addressing current market issues and will introduce policy reforms, including strict enforcement of margin trading timelines for licensed brokers.

Additionally, SEBON has started reviewing existing securities laws, registration regulations, and corporate governance guidelines to streamline public offerings.

As the NEPSE index slipped near the 2600 mark, SEBON explicitly urged investors to rely on self-study and personal risk assessment rather than making decisions based on market rumors and panic.
