KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC) has begun its victory tally from Mustang. NC candidate Yogesh Gauchan Thakali has been elected from Mustang.

Gauchan won the election by securing 3,307 votes. His closest rival, Indradhara Dadu Bista of the CPN (UML), received 1,806 votes. Meanwhile, Adwitiya Chandra Thakali of the Rastriya Swatantra Party received 759 votes in the constituency.

Gauchan was a member of the dissolved House of Representatives. He is also the son of NC leader and former minister Romi Gauchan.
