KATHMANDU: The parliamentary party meeting of the main opposition, Nepali Congress, is scheduled to take place today at 11:30 AM at the party’s office in Singha Durbar.

Amidst escalating and frequent friction between the ruling party and the opposition bench, this meeting has been called to chart out the party’s immediate legislative strategy.

The meeting is expected to make a decisive move regarding the opposition’s relentless demand that Prime Minister Balen Shah face parliament directly and answer lawmakers’ questions from the rostrum.

With the Nepali Congress issuing a strict whip notifying all of its lawmakers to ensure mandatory attendance, the discussions will focus on breaking the current parliamentary deadlock, reviewing the contemporary political climate and establishing a unified front to pressure the government.
