KATHMANDU: President Ramchandra Paudel has issued the “Ordinance to Amend Certain Nepal Laws, 2026”.
The President’s Office, in a statement released on Sunday, confirmed that the ordinance had been authenticated.
Acting on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers of the Government of Nepal, President Paudel issued the ordinance under Article 114(1) of the Constitution of Nepal.
According to the statement signed by spokesperson Ritesh Kumar Shakya, the ordinance has come into immediate effect.
The Cabinet had recommended the ordinance, stating that timely revisions were necessary in various existing laws.
