KATHMANDU: The ‘Chhinnalata Song Award’, established in memory of senior lyricist Ramola Devi Shah ‘Chhinnalata’, was presented to five prominent creators during the 44th award ceremony held on Saturday.

Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal presented the ‘Chhinnalata Song Special Honor’ for the year 2026 to senior singer Madan Krishna Shrestha, along with a cash prize of Rs 100,000.

Additionally, lyricist Nabaraj Lamsal (composition), Kiran Kandel (music composition), and Bimala Rai (vocal) were each awarded Rs 100,000, while singer Sarika Ghimire received the ‘Chhinnalata Youth Talent Award’ along with a cash prize of Rs 50,000.
