CHITWAN: The two-day extended meeting of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has concluded in Chitwan.

According to party spokesperson Manish Jha, around 400 representatives from across the country participated in the meeting, which discussed the upcoming House of Representatives elections, the current political situation, and the party’s internal transformation.

Acting President DP Aryal, Vice President Dr. Swarnim Wagle, General Secretary Kabindra Burlakoti, Deputy General Secretary Bipin Kumar Acharya, and Secretariat Member Deepak Bohara presented various reports.

Group discussions were held on those reports, and the collected suggestions will be submitted to the Central Committee.

The meeting urged the government to ensure that the election scheduled for March 5 next year is conducted in a free and fair manner.

It also drew attention to the need to make arrangements for Nepalis living abroad to cast their votes. The RSP decided to make all processes—from candidate selection to campaigning—transparent and to increase youth participation.

The party resolved to allocate 27 percent of proportional representation candidates to youths aged 25–40 and 10 percent to Nepali migrants abroad.

The meeting also demanded an impartial investigation into the case filed against Party President Rabi Lamichhane, stating that the case was motivated by political revenge.
