KATHMANDU: Home Minister Sudhan Gurung has instructed the Nepal Police to improve their communication and behavior with the general public, emphasizing the need for a more people-friendly approach. He also expressed his vision of developing the police into an exemplary institution.

The minister made these remarks during an inspection of the Police Headquarters in Naxal. After observing various units, including the digital forensic lab and the Criminal Investigation Department, he addressed senior officials and issued clear directives.

“Our responsibility is to bring reforms-from improving basic provisions to introducing advanced technologies for investigation,” he said. “The first priority is to demonstrate results through your work.”

Gurung also suggested that the police should consider establishing their own industry to produce high-quality uniforms and essential supplies. He stressed that all resources and logistics required by the police must meet high standards to ensure professionalism and efficiency.
