KATHMANDU: The District Administration Office (DAO), Chitwan, has suspended all vehicular movement along the Narayangadh-Muglin-Kathmandu road section starting Saturday at 10:00 PM until further notice.
Triggered by continuous monsoon downpours and weather forecasts predicting even heavier rainfall across Chitwan and neighboring Dhading, the district security committee enforced the immediate nighttime ban to mitigate the high risk of flash floods, landslides, and highway accidents.
While expressing regrets for the passenger inconvenience, the authorities urged all motorists to comply with the suspension and advised the public to contact emergency hotlines—100 (Nepal Police), 1114 (Armed Police Force), or 1234 (District Emergency Operation Center)—for urgent coordination.
