KATHMANDU: A formal leadership transition has taken place at the Armed Police Force Nepal, where outgoing Inspector General Raju Aryal handed over the organisational baton and flag to newly appointed IGP Narayan Dutta Paudel.

At a special ceremony held at the force headquarters in Halchowk, Aryal was given a ceremonial farewell in line with APF tradition.

He described his retirement after reaching the top position as a major achievement and said strengthening national security remained his priority during his tenure.

He also stressed that the force uniform should represent trust for citizens and fear for criminals.

New IG Paudel pledged to further strengthen institutional values and transform the force into a more modern, capable, and citizen-oriented organisation.

He emphasized good governance, transparency, and zero tolerance for corruption.

He also said ethical leadership builds trust and ensures clarity in decision-making, and appreciated Aryal’s guidance for the future.

The ceremony also featured a presentation highlighting Aryal’s tenure and contributions, and was attended by senior officials, retired IGPs, and members of the Armed Police family.
