KATHMANDU: Two young men lost their lives after a school bus and a motorcycle collided head-on in the Satighatta tea garden area of Mechinagar Municipality-7 this afternoon.

According to Police Inspector Santosh Rai of the District Traffic Police Office, the deceased have been identified as the motorcyclist, Ajay Rajbanshi, 21, a local resident of Mechinagar-7, and the pillion rider, Ajay Majhi, 32, a resident of Galgalia, India.

Both individuals sustained critical injuries in the crash and were immediately rushed to the Mechi Provincial Hospital for emergency treatment, where attending physicians pronounced them dead upon arrival.
