Bangladesh elected vice-president of 114th International Labor Conference

DHAKA: Bangladesh has been unanimously elected Vice-President of the 114th International Labor Conference (ILC) held in Geneva, marking a notable diplomatic recognition at the global labor forum.

The election was backed by delegates from 187 member states of the International Labor Organization.

Nahida Sobhan will serve as Vice-President alongside representatives from Uruguay, the United States, and Argentina.

The role will see Bangladesh helping guide discussions and consensus-building on global labor and employment issues at the conference.
