KATHMANDU: Cricketer Dipendra Singh Airee has made a significant rise in the latest ICC ODI all-rounder rankings.
According to the International Cricket Council (ICC), Airee has moved up 12 places to reach 31st position. He also continues to remain fourth in the ICC T20 all-rounder rankings.
Airee recently delivered an impressive performance in the ICC World Cup League 2 tri-series held in Nepal involving UAE and Oman, scoring 268 runs including a century and taking four wickets in four matches.
He also leads Nepal’s T20 team following a recent appointment by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN).
In the ODI bowling rankings, Nepal leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane has also made notable progress, climbing 15 places to 43rd position. He picked up eight wickets in the recent tri-series.
However, Nepal still lacks representation in the top 100 of the ODI batting rankings. Despite this, the national team holds 17th position in the ICC ODI team rankings, ahead of Namibia, Canada, and UAE.
India, New Zealand, and Australia occupy the top three spots.
