KATHMANDU: Scotland moved to 141/4 at the end of 30 overs against Nepal in their ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League-2 match at the TU International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur on Tuesday.

After winning the toss and electing to bat first, Scotland made a solid start before Nepal spinner Sandeep Lamichhane brought the hosts back into the contest with a four-wicket spell.

Sandeep dismissed opener George Munsey for 75 runs off 62 balls and trapped Finlay McCreath lbw for 35 off 62 deliveries in the 21st over.

He later removed Brandon McMullen for seven and Scotland captain Richie Berrington for five to reduce the visitors to four wickets down.

Nepal had gone wicketless in the first 20 overs before Sandeep’s breakthrough spell shifted momentum in the middle overs.
