KATHMANDU: The government has removed more than 30 office bearers from various bodies under the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation.

In a press release issued on Tuesday, the ministry stated that all officials of institutions including the Pashupatinath Area Development Trust, Nepal Airlines Corporation, Cultural Corporation, Lumbini Development Trust, Nepal Tourism Board, Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, and Greater Janakpur Area Development Council have been relieved of their duties.

The ministry said the decision was taken in accordance with Section (2), Sub-section (1) of the Special Provision Ordinance on Removal of Public Office Holders, 2026, through which these officials appointed by the Council of Ministers have been dismissed.
