KATHMANDU: Active monsoon winds have brought widespread cloudy skies across Nepal, triggering scattered moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning in several areas of Bagmati, Lumbini, Koshi, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces.
According to the meteorological forecast, light to moderate thundershowers will persist through this afternoon and tonight across both hilly terrains and the Tarai plains.
While Madhesh Province remains only partly cloudy with isolated showers, weather authorities have warned of potential heavy rainfall overnight in one or two pockets of the western and far-western regions, covering Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim.
