KATHMANDU: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has forecast moderate rainfall in parts of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces tomorrow (Wednesday).

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Karnali provinces are expected to remain generally cloudy tomorrow.

On Tuesday night, there is a possibility of light rain and snowfall accompanied by thunder and lightning at a few places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Gandaki, Koshi and Bagmati provinces.

Similar weather conditions are also likely at one or two places in the Tarai areas of Madhesh, Koshi and Bagmati provinces, as well as the hilly and Tarai regions of Lumbini Province.

Likewise, on Thursday, moderate rain and snowfall are likely at a few places in the hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.

One or two places in the Tarai regions of Madhesh, Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, along with the hilly and mountainous regions of Lumbini and Karnali provinces, may also witness similar conditions.

The department has also said that hot daytime conditions are likely in the Tarai areas of Sudurpashchim and Lumbini provinces on Wednesday and Thursday.
