Eastern low-pressure influence and local wind patterns likely to trigger showers, gusty winds in multiple provinces
KATHMANDU: The combined influence of westerly winds, local wind systems, and a low-pressure area in the lower atmosphere over eastern Nepal is partially affecting the country’s weather.
According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, conditions are expected to remain generally cloudy across Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.
Meanwhile, partly cloudy skies are likely over the hilly and mountainous regions of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as in Madhes.
Forecasters say there is a chance of light to moderate rain or thundershowers in several areas of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim. These weather events may be accompanied by brief gusty winds in some locations.
