Forex: US dollar hits all-time high

KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has announced the foreign exchange rates for today, with the value of the US dollar reaching an all-time high.

According to the central bank, the buying rate for one US dollar has been set at Rs 139.70, while the selling rate is Rs 140.30.

In addition, the buying rate for one European Euro is Rs 145.24, with the selling rate at Rs 145.86.

The UK Pound Sterling is being traded at a buying rate of Rs 175.84 and a selling rate of Rs 176.60. The Swiss Franc stands at a buying rate of Rs 154.73 and a selling rate of Rs 155.40.

For other foreign currencies, the buying and selling rates are as follows: One Australian Dollar is priced at Rs 86.82 (buying) and Rs 87.20 (selling), while the Canadian Dollar is priced at Rs 96.78 (buying) and Rs 97.19 (selling).

The Singapore Dollar stands at Rs 103.60 (buying) and Rs 104.04 (selling). The Japanese Yen is trading at Rs 9.29 (buying) and Rs 9.33 (selling) for 10 yen, while the Chinese Yuan stands at Rs 19.19 (buying) and Rs 19.27 (selling).

In terms of the Gulf currencies, the Saudi Arabian Riyal is at Rs 37.25 (buying) and Rs 37.41 (selling), while the Qatari Riyal is priced at Rs 38.33 (buying) and Rs 38.50 (selling).

The Thai Baht has a buying rate of Rs 4.09 and a selling rate of Rs 4.11, and the UAE Dirham stands at Rs 38.04 (buying) and Rs 38.20 (selling).

Similarly, the Malaysian Ringgit is trading at Rs 31.31 (buying) and Rs 31.44 (selling), while the South Korean Won is priced at Rs 9.57 (buying) and Rs 9.61 (selling) for 100 won.

For Scandinavian currencies, the Swedish Krona is at Rs 12.98 (buying) and Rs 13.04 (selling), while the Danish Krone stands at Rs 19.47 (buying) and Rs 19.56 (selling).

For the Hong Kong Dollar, the buying rate is Rs 17.96, and the selling rate is Rs 18.04. The Kuwaiti Dinar is priced at Rs 452.35 (buying) and Rs 454.30 (selling), the Bahraini Dinar at Rs 370.66 (buying) and Rs 372.25 (selling), and the Omani Rial at Rs 362.86 (buying) and Rs 364.42 (selling).

Additionally, the Indian Rupee is valued at Rs 160 (buying) and Rs 160.15 (selling) for 100 rupees.
