KATHMANDU: The National Assembly meeting of the federal parliament is being held today.

According to the Parliament Secretariat, the session will take place at the Parliament building in New Baneshwor at 12:15 pm.

The agenda includes a proposal by Speaker Narayan Prasad Dahal to make changes to the members of the thematic committees under the National Assembly.

Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel is expected to present a proposal for the consideration of the Banking Offences and Punishments (Second Amendment) Bill, 2080, which was received from the House of Representatives.

Additionally, Minister for Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs Ajay Kumar Chaurasia will propose a discussion on the Nepal Legal Practitioners Council (Second Amendment) Bill, 2081, along with the Legislative Management Committee’s report, and will seek approval for the bill’s passage.
