BEIJING: Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal has arrived in Beijing for a four-day official visit to China at the invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.

According to the Embassy of Nepal in Beijing, Minister Khanal arrived this afternoon local time.

He was received at the Beijing airport by Ms. Roshan Khanal, the Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of Nepal in China, alongside officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China.

The Nepali Embassy is hosting a reception in honor of Foreign Minister Khanal this evening.

According to the embassy, he is also scheduled to interact with the local Nepali community during the event.

During his stay in China, the Foreign Minister will hold bilateral talks with his counterpart Wang Yi to further strengthen Nepal-China relations and bolster mutual cooperation.

He is also scheduled to hold separate meetings with high-ranking Chinese officials.

Additionally, Minister Khanal will participate in an investment conference organized by the Nepali Embassy in Beijing aimed at bringing foreign investment into the country, where he will also hold discussions with Chinese entrepreneurs and business leaders.

Minister Khanal is scheduled to return home on June 17.
