KATHMANDU: President Ram Chandra Paudel will present the government’s Policies and Programs for Fiscal Year 2025/26 at a joint session of the Federal Parliament today (May 2) at 3:00 PM.

The Federal Parliament Secretariat confirmed that preparations for the address, which will take place at the Parliament Building in New Baneshwor, are nearly complete.

Attendees will include the Chief Justice, top officials from constitutional bodies, diplomats, senior bureaucrats, and private sector representatives. A security rehearsal was held earlier today to ensure smooth proceedings. After the address, both parliamentary houses will convene separately to formally thank the President.

Additionally, a letter from the President’s Office concerning the appointment of Kham Bahadur Garbuja as Minister of State for Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation will be read out during the session.
