KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has stated that Nepal is currently under the influence of westerly and local winds, with partial impact from moisture-rich air entering from the Arabian Sea.

As per the division, hilly areas across the country are experiencing partly to generally cloudy conditions, while the rest of the regions remain mostly clear to partly cloudy. Light rainfall has been observed at a few locations in the Himalayan region.

This afternoon, hilly regions including Lumbini and Sudurpaschim Provinces are expected to remain partly to generally cloudy. The rest of the country will see partly cloudy skies.

There is a likelihood of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in several hilly areas, especially in Lumbini and Sudurpaschim, with isolated showers possible in other parts of the country. Light snowfall with rain may occur in one or two areas of the Himalayas.

Furthermore, some parts of Madhes and Lumbini Provinces could experience rain accompanied by windstorms.

Tonight, the weather will remain partly cloudy in the hilly regions, while most other areas are expected to stay mostly clear. Isolated showers with lightning may occur in the hilly parts of Koshi and Gandaki Provinces, along with light snowfall and rain in one or two mountainous locations.
