KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has said that Nepal is currently experiencing the combined influence of westerly and local winds.
Additionally, there is a partial effect from moisture-laden winds originating in the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea.
According to the Division, skies across the country are currently partly to generally cloudy. Light to moderate rain accompanied by lightning is occurring in isolated areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.
This afternoon, weather conditions are expected to remain partly to generally cloudy nationwide.
Light to moderate rain with lightning is likely in some hilly areas of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and at isolated locations in other regions. Light snowfall is also possible at one or two places in the high hills and mountainous regions.
In addition, windstorms may occur in parts of the Terai regions of Madhes and Koshi provinces.
