KATHMANDU: Nepal continues to experience cloudy, rainy, and snowy weather conditions due to the combined effect of westerly and local winds, along with moisture-laden air from the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea.

According to the Weather Forecasting Division, skies will remain partly to mostly cloudy in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Sudurpaschim provinces, while other regions are expected to see mainly clear to partly cloudy weather.

There is a likelihood of light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in some hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Sudurpaschim provinces during the afternoon. Isolated showers may also occur in other areas. Additionally, light snowfall or rain is possible in select locations of the high hills and mountainous regions.

Tonight, similar conditions are expected, with partly to generally cloudy skies in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, and mostly clear to partly cloudy skies elsewhere.

The forecast also mentions chances of light to moderate rainfall with thunder/lightning at a few places in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, and at one or two places in other regions during the night. Light snowfall or rainfall is also likely at a few high-altitude areas in Koshi and Bagmati provinces.
