SANKHUWASABHA: A mother and her infant daughter have been found dead in Chainpur Municipality–11, Luhakot.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Dakshha Kumar Basnet of the District Police Office, 42-year-old Sita Khanal Trital, wife of Krishna Prasad Trital of the same area, was discovered dead along with her 72-day-old infant inside their bedroom around 1 PM on Wednesday.

The cause of the incident remains unknown, DSP Basnet stated. Police have said an investigation is underway.
