POKHARA: Two children drowned while swimming in the dam of Mardi River located in Hemja, Pokhara Metropolitan City–25, Kaski.

The victims, 14-year-old Bishal Pariyar and 13-year-old Bibash Pariyar, both from Ward 6 of Machhapuchchhre Rural Municipality, lost their lives on Thursday afternoon around 1:45 PM.

Their bodies were recovered by a diver team from Armed Police Force Nepal, Kalika Battalion No. 24.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Surya Timilsina, Bibash’s body was retrieved at around 2:15 PM, followed by Bishal’s at 3 PM.
