KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel stated that he has introduced a disciplined budget despite adverse circumstances.

Speaking at the ‘Post Budget Holistic Discourse’ program organized by Economic Media Society Nepal in Kathmandu on Monday, he explained that while there is a common expectation that Finance Ministers from the UML background bring popular budgets, this time he has presented a realistic budget.

He emphasized that his focus was less on seeking popularity and more on delivering a disciplined budget.

He expressed that the effort was to effectively manage expenditure in a way that yields impactful results.
