NEPSE falls for third consecutive day on week’s final trading day

KATHMANDU: On the last trading day of the week, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index declined again, continuing its downward trend for the third straight day. The index dropped by 5.99 points to settle at 2640.96.

A total turnover of NPR 7.98 billion was recorded today. Shares of River Falls Power, Butwal Power Company, and Pure Energy hit the positive circuit limit.

Varun Hydropower and Sapta Koshi Development Bank shares surged by 9.96%. On the other hand, Om Mega Shree Pharmaceuticals saw the highest decline in share price today, dropping 9.30%.

Radhi Hydropower topped the trading volume with NPR 912.3 million worth of shares exchanged. Universal Power Company followed with over NPR 640 million in trades, while Butwal Power Company recorded transactions worth approximately NPR 495 million.
