KATHMANDU: The Nagdhunga–Naubise stretch of the Tribhuvan Highway will be closed for four hours daily starting Monday to expedite road expansion works, the Nagdhunga–Muglin Road Project Office has announced.
The road will remain closed from 10:30 AM to 3:00 PM each day from Jestha 26 to 30 (June 9 to June 13). The closure is intended to allow uninterrupted progress on the ongoing widening project along the key highway corridor.
To ease traffic congestion during the closure period, the project office has suggested alternative routes for small and medium-sized vehicles. These include the Sitapaila–Ramkot–Dharke Road and the Samakhushi–Tokha–Chhahare–Trishuli (Bidur)–Galchhi Road.
Authorities have requested drivers and commuters to plan their journeys in advance and cooperate with the temporary traffic arrangements. The project office emphasized that public support is crucial for the timely completion of the road expansion work.
