Rabindra Mishra appears before Kathmandu District Court

KATHMANDU:  Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Senior Vice Chair Rabindra Mishra appeared before the Kathmandu District Court on Tuesday morning in connection with the Tikune vandalism case.

A detention hearing is scheduled for later today.

Mishra faces four charges filed on Jestha 11 (May 25), including crimes against the state, criminal disturbance and organized crime.

He was first arrested on Chaitra 15 (March 28), the night of the Tikune incident.

After filing a habeas corpus petition, the Supreme Court ordered his release on bail. Since then, he had remained out of public contact until now.

In the same case, RPP General Secretary Dhawal Shamsher Rana was released on Monday on Rs 300,000 bail.
