NC Central Committee continues deliberations on contemporary issues

KATHMANDU: At the Nepali Congress Central Working Committee meeting, which has been in session since June 30, central committee members continued to present their views on a range of topics.

Chaired by President Sher Bahadur Deuba, today’s session featured interventions from central members Arjun Narasingh KC, Surendra Raj Pandey, Ishwari Neupane, Sita Gurung, Govinda Bhattarai, Chinkaji Shrestha, Ramjanam Chaudhary, Anggelu Sherpa, Pradeep Kumar Sunuwar, Dr. Ran Bahadur Rawal, Mahendra Kumari Limbu, Saraswati Bajimaya, Saraswati Aryal Tiwari, Harisharan Nepali, Nagina Yadav, Ajay Babu Shiwakoti, Dinesh Koirala, Sita Thapaliya (Urmila), Kalyani Rijal, and Laxmi Khatiwada.

Chief secretary of the party office Krishna Prasad Paudel informed that, as discussions are ongoing, the Committee will reconvene at 11:00 AM on Friday at the party’s central office.

During the meeting, members deliberated on the reports of the party’s 100‑day campaign, amendments to the statutes of the Central Policy, Research, and Training Institute, the Institute’s own reports, the Disciplinary Committee’s report, the progress of active‑membership renewals, decisions regarding certain fraternal organizations based on the Directorate’s recommendations, and the management and expansion of the Nepali Public Relations Committee.

Discussions also continued on agenda items including the party’s role and effectiveness in Parliament and government, as well as other contemporary issues.
