KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Finance has issued a directive requiring all payments made by public bodies to be conducted mandatorily through an electronic system.

Effective from the start of the new fiscal year (July 17), the Ministry has circulated the directive to all ministries, Nepal Rastra Bank, public institutions, boards, committees, and establishments to ensure that all types of payments from public entities are processed via electronic means.

This circular has been issued in line with the provision announced in the budget statement for the fiscal year 2025/26.
