KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) is set to submit a memorandum to the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on Friday as part of its nationwide anti-corruption campaign.
Led by party chair Rajendra Lingden, an RPP delegation will reach the CIAA central office in Tangal at 1:00 PM today, according to the party’s publicity department head.
The team aims to draw the commission’s attention to major corruption cases and push for prompt investigations and legal action.
The party has stated that large-scale corruption is not possible without political protection and involvement.
RPP will submit the memorandum alongside a protest demonstration at the CIAA office.
This move follows a decision taken during the party’s Central Executive Committee meeting held on July 3, where it was resolved to launch a nationwide anti-corruption drive.
RPP also plans to expand its pressure campaign in phases to the CIAA’s provincial offices, the Department of Money Laundering Investigation, and other corruption-related oversight bodies.
