KATHMANDU: A petition has been filed in the Supreme Court demanding the cancellation of the arrest warrant issued against Nepali Congress Member of Parliament (MP) Abhishek Pratap Shah.

An arrest warrant was issued against MP Shah following an attempted murder complaint filed against him.

Supreme Court Spokesperson Arjun Prasad Koirala informed that the petition seeking the annulment of the arrest warrant was registered on Tuesday.

The arrest warrant against Shah had been issued by the Kapilvastu District Court.
