One dead, 12 injured in tractor accident in Simkot

HUMLA: One person has died and 12 others have been injured in a tractor accident in Baijiwada, Simkot Rural Municipality-1 of the district.

In the article by Chuwakhola, the workers who had gone to collect banalsun met with an accident while returning home. The tractor bearing the number 02001 and 0353 of Karnali Province fell about 100 meters off the road.

According to the District Police Office, Humla, 20-year-old Milan Bohara of Raya, Kharpunath Rural Municipality-3 died on the spot in the accident.

The injured are Laxmikala Rawal, Nawaraj Rawal, Sushila Rawal, Pankala Chhatyal, Bali Rawal, Harak Singh Rawal, Gyanendra Chhatyal, Nain Bahadur Chhatyal, Nani Jethara of Kharpunath-3, Palsa Budha, Tulraj Budha, Sapna Rawal of Simkot-8 Syada, and Kumer Bhandari of Thehe of Simkot-2.

The injured, who were rescued by a team led by Police Chief DSP Shankar Pokharel and local residents, are being treated at the District Hospital in Simkot. According to Dr. Umakanta Tiwari, Chief of the Health Service Office, Humla, two of them are in critical condition.

There were a total of 15 people on board the tractor. Police said that 2 of them were unharmed. Initial investigations suggest that overloading and dangerous road conditions may have been the cause of the accident. Police are investigating the incident further.
