KATHMANDU:  One-way traffic has resumed on sections of the Prithvi Highway in Dhading district after landslides blocked the road at three locations—Jarekhet in Gajuri Rural Municipality–6, Jarepul in Gajuri–4, and Saat Kilo in Thakre Rural Municipality–7.

Traffic has been restored one-way at Jarekhet and Jarepul, while two-way movement is now operational at Saat Kilo following debris clearance. Technical teams from the Department of Roads are currently assessing the landslide sites.

The landslides, which occurred around 3:20 AM, led to the holding of approximately 780 vehicles along various points of the highway, including Aadamghat, Malekhu, Simle, Majhimtar, Khanikhola, Mahadevbesi, Gajuri, and Benighat.

Additional vehicles were held at Khatripauwa and Bishaltar, where traffic is being managed and released gradually based on priority.
